Omega:
The watch pictured is a vintage Omega Constellation Automatic Chronometer from around 1969–1970, featuring the iconic "C-Shape" case. This specific case shape was originally designed by legendary watch designer Gérald Genta.
Here are some details based on the visual characteristics of the image:
Model/Reference: Probably reference 168.053 (or similar in the C-Shape series).
Material: The model was made in both solid 18k gold, 14k gold and gold doublé (gold on steel).
Movement: This era of Constellation watches was typically powered by Omega's automatic caliber 1001 or caliber 1011.
Dial: Champagne colored with date window at 3 o'clock.
Condition: The watch shows clear signs of wear. The glass (plexiglass) is scratched, the dial has patina/dirt stains, and the integrated gold mesh bracelet (mesh link) is unfortunately cut off or damaged at the upper strap corner.
Classic luxury wristwatch from Omega, more specifically a vintage model from the iconic Omega Constellation series.
The watch is characterized by the following details:
The Observatory Medallion: The round gold medallion in the center depicts the Geneva Observatory surrounded by eight stars. This is the historical hallmark of the Constellation series, symbolizing Omega's achievements and world records in precision measurements during the Geneva chronometer tests.
Case shape ("C-Shape"): The case shape – often called "C-shape" or tonneau – was originally designed by legendary watch designer Gérald Genta in the 1960s.
Shelf:
