Sustainability Report
2025
We are pioneers in the circular transition. This report describes our work in environment, social sustainability and corporate governance during the 2025 financial year.
A word from the CEO
"Sustainability is a natural part of PS Auction's business model. Through reuse we create value for our customers – and for the planet."
— Carsten, CEO PS Auction
In 2024 we urged more people to think again. In 2025 we showed what that means in practice.
At PS Auction, sustainability is not a side project or a separate track. It is the core of our business model. Every time a machine, a vehicle, a tool or a piece of equipment finds a new owner, its lifespan is extended. Capital is released, resources are used more efficiently and the need for new production can be reduced. That is the circular economy in practice.
In 2025, 117,992 items were given a new life through our platform. That corresponds to an estimated 43.1 million kilos of avoided carbon emissions compared with producing equivalent products new. At the same time, the closing rate rose from 81 to 83 per cent. In other words, we created more successful transactions from the items that were listed and helped a larger share of assets on to their next user.
But sustainability is also about how we run our company. During the year, NPS among our selling customers rose from 42 to 58, while our eNPS went from minus 1 to 17. Employee turnover fell from 18 to 14 per cent and we had no work environment related incidents. These are separate indicators showing positive development in several important areas. During the year we also strengthened our processes in areas such as leadership, incident management, whistleblowing, compliance and information security.
As we enter 2026 we will raise our ambition further. We will make it even easier to buy and sell used assets, develop our digital and data-driven services and give customers clearer evidence of the climate benefit that reuse creates. We will also continue to develop more efficient transport solutions, strengthen cyber security and invest in the skills and leadership of our employees.
Our task is not only to sell what is no longer used. Our task is to see the value, unlock the potential and make sure that more things get to live longer. In 2025 we took clear steps forward. In 2026 we will take even more.
About the report
This sustainability report describes PS Auction's work in environment, social sustainability and corporate governance during the 2025 financial year. The purpose is to create transparency about our impact, our risks and opportunities and our contribution to the circular economy.
Pioneers since 1958.
History
The auction house Pettersson och Son was founded in Svenljunga in 1958 by Folke Pettersson. In the early 2000s the business was acquired with the ambition of building a national auction company. Moving the auctions online was a prerequisite for growth, and after a few years of development and testing the first online auction was held in 2006.
In 2013 PS Auction appointed its first external CEO, which enabled increased growth. In autumn 2020 the company was acquired by MVI, and since 2022 PS Auction has been part of the group TBAuctions, Europe's leading platform for business auctions. The group has customers in more than 175 countries and employs just over 1,200 people.

Sustainability is the business.
Sustainability as part of the business model
Sustainability is a natural part of PS Auction's business model. By brokering used machinery, vehicles, tools and equipment we help extend product lifespans and reduce the need for new production. In doing so we create both economic value for our customers and positive effects for the environment. Our business is built on circular principles where resources are captured, reused and given new value with new owners.
TBAuctions' ESG strategy
Our sustainability work is based on the four ESG pillars of our parent group TBAuctions.
Business impact
Leverage ESG initiatives to create commercial value and strengthen TBAuctions' market position.
Decarbonization
Driving measurable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions across our operations and value chain.
Workplace, equity & inclusion
Ensure fair, safe and inclusive working environments across all operations and supply chains.
Governance & structure
Embed ESG principles through clear policies, training and SFDR-compliant reporting.
TBA Director ESG
How important is sustainability for TBAuctions?
Sustainability is not a side initiative — it is core to TBAuctions' business model. Our platform enables the resale of used industrial and commercial assets, actively supporting the circular economy by extending the lifecycle of valuable products and equipment. In 2025 alone, this approach helped avoid more than 3 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions* by giving 1.2 million assets a second life. By facilitating reuse, we help customers reduce waste, lower unnecessary production, and make better use of existing resources. At the same time, sustainability is also about building a responsible and future-proof business. Expectations from customers, employees, investors, and regulators continue to grow, and we see ESG as both a responsibility and an opportunity to create long-term value.
*In 2025, purchases made through TBAuctions' platforms helped avoid emissions of more than 1.7 million tonnes of CO₂. This figure is based on data from our dedicated emissions calculation tool, which uses conservative life cycle assessments and reliable industry benchmarks. The tool measured 1.7 million tonnes of avoided emissions across 57 % of our sold goods, measured in net auction sales (NAS). By extrapolating the calculated value of 1.7 million tonnes across the full range of goods sold, we estimate the total climate impact to exceed 3 million tonnes of CO₂.
What are the most important focus areas for TBAuctions when it comes to sustainability?
TBAuctions' ESG strategy is anchored on four foundational pillars. First is Business Impact, which means leveraging ESG to create commercial value and strengthen customer engagement and brand reputation.
Second is Decarbonization, where we focus on reducing Scope 1, 2, and key Scope 3 emissions through a science-based and data-driven approach. Workplace, Equity & Inclusion is our third pillar, meaning we aim to promote a supportive, diverse, and safe working environment where employees can contribute and grow. Finally, the fourth pillar is ESG Maturity / Policy and Training. This includes strengthening internal governance, reporting structures, compliance processes, and regulatory alignment.
"Sustainability is not a side project for TBAuctions – it is a central part of our business model. By giving products and equipment a longer life, our platforms contribute to the circular economy while creating value for customers, society and the environment."
Agenda 2030
Our sustainability work is based on Agenda 2030 (the UN Sustainable Development Goals). In this report we show how the circular economy in practice connects to the global goals for sustainable development.
Double materiality assessment
As part of our sustainability work, a double materiality assessment has been carried out. The assessment aims to identify the sustainability issues that are most significant from two perspectives:
- Impact materiality – how the business affects people, society and the environment.
- Financial materiality – how sustainability-related issues affect the company's operations, results and long-term value creation.
The assessment is based on the company's SWOT analysis, dialogue with the business and an evaluation of risks, opportunities, external analysis and stakeholder expectations.
Among other things, the SWOT analysis identified strengths in local presence, item expertise and the circular business model, as well as risks linked to cyber security, regulatory change and economic conditions.
| Sustainability issue | Impact materiality | Financial materiality |
|---|---|---|
| Circular economy | Very high | Very high |
| Business ethics and transparency | High | Very high |
| Information security | Medium | Very high |
| Customer trust | High | High |
| Compliance | High | High |
| Climate and transport | High | Medium |
| Employees | Medium | Medium |
Conclusion
Based on our double materiality assessment, PS Auction has identified six prioritised sustainability areas judged to have the greatest impact on both the long-term business value and our impact on people, society and the environment.
The double materiality assessment shows that the company's greatest sustainability contribution lies in the circular economy, where the business enables the reuse of assets and contributes to a more resource-efficient society. At the same time, business ethics, information security and customer trust are decisive factors for long-term success.
The circular economy in practice.
The circular economy is not only about environmental responsibility but also about business opportunities for us at PS Auction. By enabling the reuse of products and equipment we help lower investment costs for buyers, while sellers can realise value from assets that would otherwise risk losing value over time. This creates more efficient use of society's resources and strengthens the competitiveness of companies in many industries.
Our ambition is to be a driving force in the development towards a more circular economy. By continuing to develop our services, increasing knowledge of the value of reuse and making it easier to buy and sell used assets, we want to contribute to a market where sustainability and profitability go hand in hand.
The circular economy in practice
In 2025, 117,992 items found a new owner through our auction platform. Through reuse, the lifespan and value of the products were extended while the need for new production decreased. This happens as we appraise, document and list items that are then won at auction and transported to their new owner. With our product knowledge and long experience of everything from the largest to the smallest, we want to be the inspiring expert.
Climate impact
Through reuse via our platform we helped avoid an estimated 43.1 million kg of CO₂ emissions compared with producing equivalent products new.
We want to help customers understand the link between consumption and its environmental impact. To clarify this, in collaboration with Doconomy and Åland Index we have developed a cloud-based calculation model that estimates the CO₂ emissions equivalent newly produced items would have caused. This demonstrates the importance of buying used and nearly new.
What we have done is match all of our categories and subcategories. This gives us an approximate CO₂ value. In this way we want to engage our customers in the question of climate impact and the circular economy.
Avoided CO₂ emissions by category
Million kg CO₂, 2025
Our greenhouse gas emissions
In 2025 our total greenhouse gas emissions amounted to 514.5 tCO₂e, a reduction of 31 % compared with the previous year. The decrease indicates improvements in the supply chain (scope 3), changed purchasing patterns or changes in the method used to allocate emissions. We continue to prioritise measures that reduce emissions in the value chain, where the greatest climate impact arises.
Purchasing, transport, business travel and other indirect emissions.
Indirect emissions from electricity and district heating for offices.
Company cars and own combustion.
Energy and transport
Since 2022 we have reported and followed up our total energy consumption per office on a quarterly basis. We encourage and welcome LED lighting, sensor lighting and solar panels in the properties where we rent offices.
Electricity consumption at our head office in Mölndal increased during 2025, driven by the ongoing transition of our company car fleet and more employees, which contributes to higher electricity use. We will continue to monitor the figures and encourage saving the resources we can.
Transport accounts for a large share of PS Auction's total environmental impact and is therefore an area where we can make a difference. In 2021 we switched to shipping our goods with green transport — so-called climate-neutral transport.
Our buying customers ask for shipping on more items and auctions. We are exploring options for an agreement with a nationwide partner for handling and shipping.

Biodiversity
Goal 15 · Life on land and biodiversity
In 2025 PS Auction gained 20,000 new colleagues.
Outside our office in Mölndal stands a beehive that we lease from Nolhaga apiary in Kungälv. Nolhaga apiary handles the operation and maintenance of the hive, and the honey harvest goes to PS Auction. The honey from the hive is kept separate throughout the process, making it produced in our local area. Nolhaga apiary gave a lecture about bees in spring 2025, on site in Mölndal and via Teams.
With this initiative we want to create engagement for bees and biodiversity among employees, customers and the public. A bee colony contributes to sustainable development by increasing pollination in the local area and thereby supporting local food production. In time we hope to offer PS Auction's own honey products to our employees and customers.
Reuse in everyday life
Goal 12 · Responsible consumption and production
Reuse is a central part of PS Auction's business and something we also want to encourage in everyday life. At this year's Lucia breakfast we therefore arranged a Christmas gift swap where employees gave new life to things that were no longer used. The activity created both a sense of community and greater awareness of sustainable consumption, while showing how reuse can help reduce waste and make the most of existing resources.
Responsible business.
Whistleblowing
PS Auction values an open, safe and responsible company culture. In 2025 we updated our whistleblowing function by introducing the external system Walor together with a new whistleblowing policy. The function allows employees, suppliers and other partners to report suspected irregularities anonymously or confidentially, such as corruption, fraud, discrimination or other serious violations.
The whistleblowing system is an important part of our work with business ethics, transparency and good corporate governance. All cases are handled with a high level of confidentiality and in accordance with applicable legislation.
Anti-corruption
PS Auction has zero tolerance for corruption, bribery and other forms of unethical business conduct. We work actively to ensure that our business is conducted with high integrity, transparency and accountability in all business relationships.
In 2025 we continued to strengthen our compliance and risk management work through training in areas such as anti-money laundering (AML) and anti-corruption. Through clear guidelines and internal controls we work to identify and minimise risks in the business.
Business ethics
Good business ethics is a fundamental part of PS Auction's operations. Employees are expected to follow the company's code of conduct and act professionally, responsibly and in accordance with applicable legislation and internal policies. Through active work on ethics, transparency and accountability we want to strengthen trust among customers, suppliers, employees and society at large.
Data protection and cyber security
Data security is a fundamental and decisive aspect for every business operating online. In a world where digitalisation is increasingly present and companies handle large amounts of information, prioritising data security is not just a choice but a necessity.
With robust security systems in place we can minimise the risk of attacks such as data breaches and cyber attacks. But the greatest threat to data security is the human factor. Lack of awareness, carelessness or insufficient knowledge is often the weak link in the security chain.
Our ISO certifications
At PS Auction, quality is part of how we take responsibility — both internally and in our relationships with customers and partners. By working systematically with continuous improvement we want to ensure that our processes work as they should and deliver high value for everyone involved.
ISO 9001
An international quality management system focused on process efficiency, aiming to work more effectively and reduce the number of errors. Through incident management we identify errors and shortcomings in the business. We set annual targets that we measure and follow up, and audits are carried out twice a year.
ISO 14001
An international environmental management system. The standard requires us to have an effective environmental management system, and on that basis we have identified significant environmental aspects. Each year we set targets and strive to continuously reduce our environmental impact.
Governance and stakeholder dialogue
To map and align important sustainability issues with requirements and expectations, we maintain a dialogue with the company's stakeholders, owners, customers and employees.
Stakeholders are involved so that we at PS Auction understand which sustainability issues different stakeholder groups consider important, and also how these influence customers' decisions to buy and sell used or nearly new.
We carry out annual customer surveys among our selling and buying customers and share the results with all our employees. We also hold monthly meetings with our parent group TBAuctions and other group companies to learn from each other and build a shared view of more sustainable business.

The way forward.
Based on our double materiality assessment, PS Auction has identified six prioritised sustainability areas judged to have the greatest impact on both the long-term business value and our impact on people, society and the environment.
Opportunities
Circular economy
Demand for reuse and circular business models continues to grow. By extending the lifespan of machinery, vehicles and equipment, PS Auction strengthens its position as an important player in the circular economy.
Digitalisation
The development of digital platforms, AI and data-driven services creates opportunities to streamline sales processes, improve the customer experience and reach more buyers in international markets.
Transparency and sustainability data
Customers increasingly ask for information about climate impact, reuse and sustainability results. By offering clear data on, for example, avoided carbon emissions, PS Auction can strengthen customer relationships.
Regulations and sustainability requirements
Increased requirements for sustainability reporting and resource efficiency may strengthen demand for reuse solutions. PS Auction's business model is well positioned to help customers achieve their own sustainability goals.
Risks
Climate and transport
Transport may be affected by higher fuel costs, climate-related policy instruments and stricter emission requirements. This could lead to increased costs for both PS Auction and our customers.
Cyber security and data protection
As a digital marketplace we depend on secure IT systems. Cyber attacks, fraud or shortcomings in the handling of personal data could affect the business.
Transparency and business ethics
Shortcomings in business ethics, compliance or the handling of conflicts of interest could lead to damaged trust, legal consequences and negative effects on the brand.
Waste and resource management
Items that cannot be reused or sold risk generating costs for destruction and waste management.
Regulatory requirements
The development of sustainability legislation places increased demands on follow-up, documentation and governance. Non-compliance may result in sanctions.
Skills supply
Competition for qualified employees in digitalisation, sustainability and business development may affect the company's pace of development.
A driving force
in the transition.
2025 has been a year in which sustainability issues continued to have a clear place in our business and in the world around us. For PS Auction, sustainability is about more than targets and reporting — it is a natural part of our business model, our responsibility and our way of creating value. By giving products, machinery, vehicles and equipment a new life, we contribute to the circular economy every day while creating business value for our customers.
We see that demand for transparency, accountability and sustainable solutions continues to grow. That strengthens our conviction that our work is both relevant and important. At the same time we know that sustainable development requires a long-term perspective, perseverance and continuous improvement. We therefore continue to develop our processes, strengthen our organisation and take steps forward in environment, social sustainability and good corporate governance.
We would like to extend a big thank you to our employees, customers and partners who contribute to making a difference every day. Together we create the conditions for a more resource-efficient and sustainable future, where more assets are given new value and a longer life.
PS Auction will continue to be a driving force in the transition towards a more circular society — with responsibility, commitment and confidence in the future.

People make the difference.
Our employees
Our people are our most important resource. That is why we want to encourage collaboration while everyone has the opportunity and responsibility to develop. Through our engagement platform, all employees answer questions anonymously twice a month, giving them the chance to voice opinions and raise risks.
Winningtemp
A web-based tool that measures engagement and wellbeing. Employees answer survey questions every other week by email, covering themes with a scientific link to good workplace culture, leadership, job satisfaction, team spirit and participation. Managers hold "Winningtemp meetings" to discuss the results with their teams.
eNPS
Employee Net Promoter Score measures employee engagement and willingness to recommend PS Auction as a workplace. The result is an important indicator of wellbeing, work environment and company culture. eNPS is a standing item at weekly meetings.
Employee development
Job rotation has been included as a possible goal in performance reviews. Encouraging employees to try new tasks or roles creates conditions for broader skills, greater understanding of the business and more flexibility.
Leadership development
During the period a joint leadership programme was carried out together with Klaravik, focusing on communication, change management, employee development and building high-performing teams.
Incident reporting — IA
In 2025 PS Auction implemented the incident management system IA. The system enables employees to report deviations, risk observations, near misses and improvement suggestions in a simple and structured way.
No work environment incidents
We had no work environment related incidents during 2025.
Health screening
Goal 8 · Decent work and economic growth
As part of our work for a sustainable and healthy work environment, we have offered all employees a health screening. The initiative aims to promote wellbeing, preventive health and long-term sustainability within the organisation, and has been very well received by our employees.
Health and engagement
Blodomloppet
