The top necklace is a decorative filigree necklace (often called a castle necklace or openwork necklace). It consists of interlocking, diamond-shaped plates with an intricate pattern of fine gold threads. This style is typical of antique or vintage jewelry from the 19th century to the mid-20th century.
The lower necklace is a classic, finely patterned curb chain. It is characterized by tightly assembled, flattened oval links that lie flat against the skin. This is one of the most common and timeless basic models for necklaces.
